A garden in the shape of a right triangle has sides measuring 60, 80 and 100 ft. The owner of the garden adds a new section of f

ence that runs from the right angle to the hypoteneuse and separates the garden into two parts of equal perimeter. Find the length of the new section of the fence. Problem is not out of a textbook, rather on a worksheet.

Answer:

The answer is 48 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

The garden before the fence is: (refer to graphical representation in attached file)

o = side

b = base

h= hypotenuse

Use Sin (t) formula;

Sin (t) = o/h

Sin (t) = 80/100

Sin (t) = 0.8

Step 2:

The garden was divided in 2 parts and a is the missing length which needed to be found (refer to graphical representation in attached file)

For Small triangle (refer to graphical representation in attached file);

a = side

c = base

b= hypotenuse

Use Sin (t) formula;

Sin (t) = a/b

0.8 = a/60

A = 0.8x60

A = 48 ft

PLEASE HELP MEEEE:((
Dmitriy789 [7]

Answer:

g(x)=(3x)^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

In this graph g(x) will be equal to g(x)=(3x)^{2}. Multiplying a squared variable will close the parabola together, but multiplying the variable itself and then calculating the square will exponentially close the parabola. Without the parenthesis x would be substituted for 1, 1 squared is 1 and multiplied by 3 would be 3. Therefore, giving you a coordinate of (1,3). With parenthesis that would be 3 times greater which would give you a coordinate of (1,9) as can be seen in the graph attached below.

A quarter has a diameter of 2.4 m . what is it's circumference in cm
Vlad [161]
First lets convert the diameter to cm,
2.4 m equals 240 cm, that is by multiplying 2.4 times 100 because 1 meter has 100 cm
then we need to know how to calculate the circumference, and that is by multiplying pi (3.14) times the diameter of the circumference, that is:
circumference = pi*diameter = 3.14*240
circumference = 753.6 cm
that is the solution

Tom's real estate office reports that the office's income last month was $315,600, while expenses were $19,567.20. What percent
nordsb [41]

Answer:

6.2% of last month's income was spent on office expenses

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Let's review the information given to us to answer the question correctly:

Office's income last month = $ 315,600

Expenses last month = $ 19,567.20

2. What percent of last month's income was spent on office expenses?

To calculate this percent, we use this fraction:

Expenses last month/Office's income last month

Replacing with the real values:

19,567.20/315,600 = 6.2%

6.2% of last month's income was spent on office expenses
