9x7 is 63.

This is an easy way to do multiplication with the 9. Hold out both hands and let’s say we want to figure out what 9x5 is. Put down the 5th finger, there will be 4 fingers left on one hand and 5 fingers on the other. Your answer would be 45. For this problem, put down the 7th finger and you get 6 on one side and 3 on the other side.

Here are two patterns made using identical rhombuses. Without using a protractor, determine the value of a and b.
satela [25.4K]

Answer:

a = 60°

b = 120°

Step-by-step explanation:

First, you can find measure a by using the first shape. There are six rhombuses, and you can use the innermost a of each one to form a circle. A full circle is 360°, so divide 360 by six. The answer is sixty. So on the next shape, the a measurements add up to 120°. Subtract that from the circle: 360 - 120 = 240. And since there are two measurements for b, you would divide 240 by two. The answer is 120.

To check your work, use the knowledge that circles are 360° (the four interior corners of a rhombus will also add up to 360°. 2(120) + 2(60) = 360. Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any questions!

The width of a golden rectangle is 15 feet. Find the perimeter of the rectangle to the nearest foot.
topjm [15]

Answer:

79 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Golden rectangle side ratios   1 : (1+sqrt5 )/2

      (approx  1: 1.618)

15 + 15   +  2*15*1.618 = ~79 ft

BUT perhaps the 15 is the 1.618 side

15/1.618 + 15/1.618   + 15 + 15   ~ 49 feet

What is 15.36x(-0.45)
lord [1]
Simplifying 15.36x[-0.45] = 0 Reorder the terms for easier multiplication: 15.36 * -0.45x = 0 Multiply 15.36 * -0.45 -6.912x = 0 Solving -6.912x = 0 Solving for variable 'x'. Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right. Divide each side by '-6.912'. x = 0 Simplifying x = 0
