\bf \textit{distance between 2 points}\\ \quad \\
\begin{array}{lllll}
&x_1&y_1&x_2&y_2\\
%  (a,b)
&({{ \frac{1}{8}}}\quad ,&{{-\frac{9}{5}}})\quad
%  (c,d)
&({{ \frac{3}{8}}}\quad ,&{{ -\frac{4}{5}}})
\end{array}\qquad
%  distance value
d = \sqrt{({{ x_2}}-{{ x_1}})^2 + ({{ y_2}}-{{ y_1}})^2}

\bf d=\sqrt{\left[ \frac{3}{8}-\frac{1}{8} \right]^2+\left[-\frac{4}{5}-\left( -\frac{9}{5} \right)  \right]^2}\implies
d=\sqrt{\left( \frac{3}{8}-\frac{1}{8} \right)^2+\left(-\frac{4}{5}+\frac{9}{5}  \right)^2}
\\\\\\
d=\sqrt{\left( \frac{2}{8}\right)^2+\left(\frac{5}{5}  \right)^2}\implies d=\sqrt{\left( \frac{1}{4} \right)^2+\left( 1 \right)^2}\implies d=\sqrt{\frac{1^2}{4^2}+1}

\bf d=\sqrt{\frac{1}{16}+1}\implies d=\sqrt{\cfrac{17}{16}}\implies d=\cfrac{\sqrt{17}}{\sqrt{16}}\implies d=\cfrac{\sqrt{17}}{4}

If you have 2 pairs such that A(x₁ , y₁)     and B(x₂ , y₂). , the distance is:

AB = √[(x₂ - x₁)² + (y₂ - y₁)²]

A(1/8 , 9/5)   and B(3/8 , - 4/5)

Plug in the related value:

AB = √[(3/8 - 1/8)² + ( - 4/5 - 9/5)²] = √(2729/400) (ALREADY SIMPLIFIED)
AB = distance = 2.61

A(0,0,0)
B(0,5,0)
C(3,5,0)
D(3,0,0)
E(3,0,4)
F(0,0,4)
G(0,5,4)
H(3,5,4)

Mashutka [201]

The equivalent value of given the expression is -17.25. Therefore, option C is the correct answer.

<h3>What is an equivalent expression?</h3>

Equivalent expressions are expressions that work the same even though they look different. If two algebraic expressions are equivalent, then the two expressions have the same value when we plug in the same value for the variable.

The given expression is -14-8×0.5+0.75.

Now, -14-8×0.5+0.75

= -14-(8×0.5)+0.75

= -14-4+0.75

= -18+0.75

= -17.25

The equivalent value of given the expression is -17.25. Therefore, option C is the correct answer.

The probability, P, that a person responds to an advertisement can be modeled by the exponential function P = 1 – e^-0.047t. In
MA_775_DIABLO [31]
To solve this equation, start by noticing that you want to find t when P is 75%, or 0.75. Plug in 0.75 for P. Please see the attached screenshot for a step-by-step. The correct answer is 29.496 days.

EDIT 2: I actually was correct! You check the answer by substituting 29.496 for t in the original equation set equal to 0.75. It is 0.75. I had forgotten the negative sign when I checked.
