The answer that is correct is C because , All the light and heat energy we receive on Earth comes from the Sun, and travels through space in invisible electromagnetic waves known as radiation. Space is vast and empty, so heat energy cannot travel from the Sun by conduction or convection. Hot objects on Earth, such as fires and radiators, also radiate heat. Heat travels through solids by conduction. If one end of a metal bar is heated, heat energy moves rapidly along the bar. The hot particles do not move along the bar, but vibrate and pass energy to their neighbours. Materials that conduct electricity are also good conductors of heat. Metals conduct heat well, but wood, plastics, and glass conduct heat only poorly.

C. Conduction (through lighting) and Radiation (through power plants).

But I don't know for sure, always remember to double check your work.

How is a front defined in terms of weather ?. A) the leading edge of an anticyclone flow. B) the trailing edge of a warm front.
Svetllana [295]
A front is defined as a "boundary" that separates two masses of different air densities. I am not entirely sure, but I think the answers are either C or D, but I'm mostly convinced it's option D.

Most meteors do not hit the earth's surface because they collide with the atmosphere causing friction with the air and thus the
jeka57 [31]
<span>So we want to know what happens to meteors that enter the Earth's atmosphere and experience air friction. So since most meteors that enter Earth's atmosphere are made out of ice and/or rocks, when they enter the atmosphere, they experience air friction and their temperature rises so high they either melt or burn up. So the correct answer is burns up. </span>

Marysya12 [62]

Answer:

1.97*10⁴N .He cannot survive.

Explanation:

The<em> </em><em>Tidal force</em> can be defined as the difference in force between center of  two bodies like center of earth and other bodies.This force stretches  the body too and fro from the center of mass of another body due to the difference in the gravitational force.

The tidal force is responsible for various phenomena like ocean tides,celestial body tearing up.

The tidal force is the effect of massive body gravitationally affecting another body.

The tidal force is the difference between the gravitational force of two bodies and directly proportional to the mass of body affecting another body and inversely proportional to the square of radius of the distance between center and the object.

Here let us consider height of person as 2m and d=1m

  ΔF=\frac{GMm}{(R-d)^{2} } -\frac{GMm}{(R+d)^{2} }

       =GMm[\frac{1}{(R-d)^{2} }-\frac{1}{(R+d)^{2} }]

         =(6.67*10⁻¹¹)(1.99*10³⁰)(1.0)[\frac{1}{(300*10^3-1)^{2} }-\frac{1}{(300*10^3+1)^{2} }}

   ΔF=1.97*10⁴N.

Thus he cannot survive

When a ball is tossed in the air and reaches the top of its arc, which of the following quantities are zero? Choose one or more:
Lady_Fox [76]

Answer:

option 'b' and 'c'

Explanation:

when we throw ball in upward direction.

acceleration on the body will never be zero because there will always be acceleration due to gravity i.e. 'g' will be acting on it.

and force  of 'mg' will also be acting on the body, where m is the mass of the body.

so,

at the top the parameters which will be zero will be velocity and speed.

at the top most point the ball will change it's direction for that velocity will have to be zero at that point.
