Since the symbol tells us the angle is 90 degrees we know the 4x and 5x add up to make 90 degrees.
Lets use this to make and form an equation

5x + 4x = 90
9x =90    (collect the x values)
x = 10        (divide both sides 9 to find what x is)

What are the coordinates grapging x=3 and y=-2x+1
marusya05 [52]
Answer: -5

First, coordinates are (x, y). You’re x is 3, so all you need to do it plug in x into your algebraic equation to find y. Then just plug both into (x, y) and you have your coordinates.

y=-2(3)+1
y=-6+1
y=-5

Age If you add Natalie's age and Fred's age, the result is 43. If you add Fred's age to 4 times
Len [333]
Let’s take fred age as x and Natalie’s age as y.
So,
A/Q
X + Y = 43. Let it be eqution 1
and
X + 4Y = 79. Let it be equation 2

Combining equation 1 and 2, we get

( X + Y) + 3Y = 79
43 + 3Y = 79
3Y = 36
Y = 12

Now, evaluating the value of Y in equation 1 we get,

X + 12 = 43
X = 31

Therefore, Fred is 31years old and Natalie is 12 years old.

A line with a slope of 4 passes through the point (2, 1 ). What is the equation of this line?
castortr0y [4]

Answer:Put this in y= mx +b form

we have the slope(4) as well as a set of points for x and y so we have everything we need to solve for b

1= 4(2) + b

1 =8+b   B=-7

so equation is y = 4x -7

Step-by-step explanation: can i get brainley? :)

suppose point p(4,-9) is translated accoring to the rule (x,y). (X+3,Y-2) what are the coordinates of p? explain
mel-nik [20]

Answer:

(7,-11)

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the rule of: (x,y)\rightarrow(x+3,y-2).

Apply the rule to point P:

(4,-9)\rightarrow(4+3,-9-2)\rightarrow\boxed{(7,-11)}

P' should be (7,-11).

Hope this helps.
