Answer:

The correct answer is = 1.6

Explanation:

Density of water = 1000kg/m³ = d₁

Mass of brick = 4kg = m

Density of brick = 2.5 g/cm³ = 2.5 × 1000 =2500 kg/m³ = d₂

Volume of brick = m/d₂ = 4/2500 =16/10000 = 0.0016 L = v

Buoyant Force = v × d₁ × g          (g= acceleration due to gravity =9.8m/s²)

= 0.0016 × 1000 × 9.8 = 15.68 Newtons

By the Archimedes' Principle, the buoyant force is equal to the weight of the liquid displaced by an object.

Weight of the water displaced=Buoyant Force

=Mass of water displaced × g,

as weight = mass × acceleration due to gravity

15.68= mass of brick × 9.8

15.68/9.8 =Mass of water displaced

1.6 kg = Mass of water displaced

The lons entering the mass spectrometer have the same charges. After being accelerated through a potential difference of 8.20 kV
Ratling [72]

The calculated magnitude is  6.73 x 10³ V/m.

AMU is described as being one-twelfth the mass of a carbon-12 atom (12C). C makes up more than 98% of the carbon that can be found in nature, making it the most prevalent isotope. The magnitude of the field is the change in potential across a small distance in the indicated direction divided by that distance.

Potential difference = 8.20 kV= 8.20 x 10³ V

radius= 19.4/100=0.194 m

total distance that is circumference of the circle= 2πr =2 x 3.14 x 0.194

                                                                               = 1.218 m

therefore Magnitude= 8.20 x 10³ / 1.218

                                  =6.73 x 10³ V/m

If the distance between us and a star is doubled, with everything else remaining the same, the luminosity Group of answer choice
Savatey [412]

Answer:

remains the same, but the apparent brightness is decreased by a factor of four.

Explanation:

A star is a giant astronomical or celestial object that is comprised of a luminous sphere of plasma, binded together by its own gravitational force.

It is typically made up of two (2) main hot gas, Hydrogen (H) and Helium (He).

The luminosity of a star refers to the total amount of light radiated by the star per second and it is measured in watts (w).

The apparent brightness of a star is a measure of the rate at which radiated energy from a star reaches an observer on Earth per square meter per second.

The apparent brightness of a star is measured in watts per square meter.

If the distance between us (humans) and a star is doubled, with everything else remaining the same, the luminosity remains the same, but the apparent brightness is decreased by a factor of four (4).

Some of the examples of stars are;

- Canopus.

- Sun (closest to the Earth)

- Betelgeuse.

- Antares.

- Vega.

A space vehicle is traveling at 2980 km/h relative to Earth when the exhausted rocket motor is disengaged and sent backward. The
Strike441 [17]

Answer:

3054.4 km/h

Explanation:

Using the conservation of momentum

momentum before separation = 5M × 2980 Km/h where M represent the mass of the module while 4 M represent the mass of the motor

initial momentum = 14900 M km/h

let v be the new speed of the motor so that the

new momentum = 4Mv and the new momentum of the module  = M ( v + 94 km/h )

total momentum = 4Mv + Mv + 93 M = 5 Mv + 93M

initial momentum = final momentum

14900 M km/h = 5 Mv + 93M

14900 km/h = 5v + 93

14900 - 93 = 5v

v = 2961.4 km/h

the speed of the module = 2961.4 + 93 = 3054.4 km/h
