Data without an outlier...15,19,22,26,29...and the median is 22

data with an outlier...15,19,22,26,29,81...and the median is (22 + 26) / 2 =
48/2 = 24

the median with the outlier is 2 points higher then the median without the outlier....so the outlier did affect the median...but not by much

You need gas for your car, and just as you are approaching where you normally get gas, the radio station announces that the Chea
schepotkina [342]

Answer: Yes

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Distance from present location to CheapGas = 4 miles

Price of gas at CheapGas is $0.37 cheaper

Hence, the decision to make a U-turn back to CheapGas or continue on intended destination will rely on two factors ;

1) The number of gallons of gas to purchase

2) The cost of gas required to return to cheap gas.

If a substantial amount of gas is to be purchased, may be 50, 100 or more gallons, the amount saved by making a turn back to cheapGas and purchase gas at $0.37 cheaper per gallon.

Juli2301 [7.4K]

Answer:

  B, C, F

Step-by-step explanation:

3/4 is 3 times 1/4, so the number of walls Dan can paint is 3 times the number of cans Dan uses.

A. 1/2 can will paint 3/2 walls, not 2.

B. 1 can will paint 3 walls — true

C. 5/3 cans will paint 5 walls — true

D. 2 cans will paint 6 walls, not 8.

E. 5/2 cans will paint 15/2 = 7 1/2 walls, not 10.

F. 11/3 cans will paint 11 walls — true

Find the equation of the line that is perpendicular to x - y = -5 and passes through (4, 7).
Ivanshal [37]
X - y = -5
-y = -x - 5
y = x + 5...slope here is 1. A perpendicular line will have a negative reciprocal slope. All that means is flip ur slope and change the sign. So our perpendicular line will have a slope of -1.

y = mx + b
slope(m) = -1
(4,7)...x = 4 and y = 7
now we sub and find b, the y int
7 = -1(4) + b
7 = -4 + b
7 + 4 = b
11 = b

so ur perpendicular equation is : y = -x + 11 <==
