Answer:

They are often used as an energy source because they are found everywhere and because it has a high energy output. Fossil fuels can be found where an animal dies, coal is found, a tree is burned etc. This makes them highly popular and strived for. Fossil fuels are often used as an energy source because it is Easily and abundantly available

<u>Explanation</u>:

Fossil fuels are formed by natural processes, due to anaerobic decomposition. It is rich source of carbon. We depend on these sources to meet our daily requirement. These are renewable source of energy.

Fossil fuel are available abundantly and are easy to obtain and transport. They are much cheaper. Fossil fuels includes coal, oil, natural gas, petroleum together makes 80% of global energy source in all over the world.

Whole brain death occurs when the ______ ceases to function.
xz_007 [3.2K]

Answer:

Whole brain death occurs when the BRAINSTEM ceases to function.

Explanation:

In the US, whole brain death = legal death. Most people consider that a person is brain dead when the cerebrum, or the higher brain, is dead because the person is not able to think or have control over his/her body, but legally you are brain dead only when the brainstem ceases to function. The brainstem is responsible for keeping you alive and performing the most basic bodily functions like breathing and keeping your heart beating. But once it fails, you are legally dead. Even if your body could still survive using a ventilator and other devices, your brain has ceased to work and you wouldn't be able to survive if you were unplugged.
