Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{2}{k^2-2k}=1-\frac{1}{k^2-2k}

multiply by \frac{k^2-2k}{1} on each side

2=k^2-2k-1

add 1 on both sides 3=k^2-2k

make it equal 0

0=k^2-2k-3

Factor

(k-3)(k+1)

answer is 3 and -1

Find the value(s) of x such that f''(x)=0
Goryan [66]
f(x)=\dfrac x{x^2+2}\implies f'(x)=\dfrac{2-x^2}{(x^2+2)^2}\implies f''(x)=\dfrac{2x^3-12x}{(x^2+2)^3}

The denominator is always positive, so any x for which f''(x)=0 is determined only by the numerator:

2x^3-12x=0\implies f''(x)=0
2x^3-12x=2x(x^2-6)=2x(x-\sqrt6)(x+\sqrt6)=0\implies x=0,\pm\sqrt6
