The following safety precaution should be taken.

1. Change clothes at work, so that you won't carry infectious agents home, if the cloth has been contaminated with body fluids.

2. Wash your clothes thoroughly (with standard hand hygiene procedures) whenever you come in contact with resident's clothing or bed linen

3. You can also use waterproof gowns or aprons, and other appropriate personal protective equipment (like gloves) in order to prevent your cloth or skin from contamination.

4. Do not carry soiled clothing or bed linen. Rather, place them into leak-proof laundry bags.
