The function of a protein is determined by its shape. Proteins are composed of polypeptides in which a sequence of amino acids connected through peptide bonds. This sequence is referred to as a proteins primary structure. The shape of each protein molecule determines its function in a cell. I don't know if this will help but I hope it dose.
