In a survey of 500 randomly selected respondents, 360 respondents (72%) said they want the United Nations (U.N.) headquarters to

remain in the United States. A TV news show conducted a call-in survey and asked the same question. Of the 186,000 who phoned in their response, 124,620 people (67%) said they want the U.N. out of the United States. The most reasonable statement about these different findings is that
A. the call-in survey results should be believed because of the larger number of people who responded they want the U.N. out of the United States.
B. the large sample size for the call-in survey indicates it is a more representative sample.
C. the findings for the randomly selected sample more likely represent the views of the population.
D. call-in surveys lead to more reliable findings.

Answer:

B. the large sample size for the call-in survey indicates it is a more representative sample.

Explanation:

It is necessary when choosing a sample that it is representative to the population so the estimation is precise. A larger sample size provide more accurate data as it provides a smaller margin of error. In this case, the call-in survey is a more representative sample of the population in the US so the data could be considered more accurate.

Answer:

Curve of forgetting

Explanation:

Curve of forgetting or the forgetting curve was developed by a German psychologist named Hermann Ebbinghaus.

The forgetting curve demonstrates the declination of memory maintenance or retention in time. It states that there is a loss in memory or information over a period of time if memory rehearsal or retention is not being done.

The brain lacks the ability to a piece of memory over time if the memory is not being recalled or retained.

In the case of Lisa, in the given question loss of memory occurs because the memory has not been consciously reviewed again.

The difference between law and rule
prisoha [69]

Answer: The main difference between rules and laws is the consequences associated with breaking them. While each is developed to invoke a sense of order, fair play, and safety, the weight of a law is much heavier than the weight of a rule. Laws are like the legal version of rules. When are children stable in their gender identity nih?
Alina [70]
By the age of three children are usually able to identify boy and girl toys and know which toys are supposed to be theirs. Whether this has anything to do with gender identity is another question though since this behavior can also easily be explained by mob mentality and social conditioning that influence the young brain to give the answers that it thinks people want to hear. There is a good chance that many children sexual identities are shaped by the influence of those people around them and how they treat gender. for example young boys in many families are scolded for playing with dolls, if this case the child never really has a chance to form his own gender identity, because one is forced onto him by his environment. For many people this leads to a a questioning of ones own sexual identity later in life after realizing they have been living the life they were told to live and not the one that they actually related to.
