Time for the Order of Operations!
PEMDAS, its easy dont worry!
P for Parenthesis
E for Exponents
M/D for Multiplication/Division
A/S for Addition/Subtraction
we should always follow the order of operations!

(3+3)+6÷3+6
1st step: We've got parenthesis:
             (3+3)=(6)                       done
2nd step: Check for exponents, Looks like we dont have them!
3rd step: M/D? no multiplication, But we do have division.
              (6)+6 ÷ 3 + 6
               6 + 2 + 6
4th and last step: Finally, we are going to end this!
                            A/S? Yes!!!! Addition, No Subtraction!
                            6 + 2 + 6 = 14

Final Answer: 14

To know what to do first in a math problem we look to order of operations... PEMDAS stands for parentheses, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction. So to begin we look for parentheses... do we have any? Why, yes, yes we do. Let's work!

(3+3) + 6 / 3 + 6 =

Add 3+3 in the parentheses. Since there is nothing else, the parentheses can go away.

6 + 6 / 3 + 6 =

Now, any exponents? Nope... Multiplication? Nope... division? Yes! Let's go!

6 + 2 + 6 =

Now all we have left is addition... Go for it!

8 + 6 = 14

Done!

Answer:

Not quite sure what you're meant to solve for, but my solution is below.

Step-by-step explanation:

The square root of a value squared is the absolute value of that value, because squaring removes all negatives. Therefore:

\sqrt{(y+2)^2}=c

\mid y+2\mid=c

\mid y\mid =c-2

Hope this helps!

(-9,5); m=4 right and equation in point slope form of the line that passes through the given point and with the given slope M
NikAS [45]

Answer:

Slope form of line  y = 4x +41

Step-by-step explanation:

m= 4

The y-intercept of the line that passes through the given point (-9,5) is

5 = 4(-9) + b

b= 5 +36

b=41

The equation of the line that passes through the given point (-9,5) is

y =mx +b

y = 4x +41

What are the missing coordinates? My teacher said it was (h-m,n), but I’m saying it is (h+m,n). Could anyone help?
antiseptic1488 [7]

Answer:

  • You are right, the coordinates are:

                                                               (h+m,n)

Explanation:

Here is how you can proove that you are right.

Note that m is the x-coordinate of the point (m,n) . Since this point is to the left of the y-axis, it is a negative number, but the negative sign is included in m.

The distance from (m,n) to the y-axis is not m but -m.

That is the same distance from the point with the missing coordinates to the point (h,0).

Then, the missing x-coordinate is h-(-m)=h+m.

Of course, there is not doubt about the y-coordinate: it is n, because the point with the missing coordinates is at the same height as (m,n).

Hence, the missing coordinates are x = h+m, and y = n: (h + m, n).

A quarter is what fraction of a dollar
Shkiper50 [21]
Well, a quarter is worth .25 And a dollar is 1.00
So .25 out of 1.00 equals 1/4
Since it takes 4 quarters to make a dollar, and you have 1 quarter.
