In studying the insurance preferences of homeowners the following conclusions are made: A homeowner is three times as likely to

Answer:

0.632

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a homeowner is three times as likely to purchase additional jewelry coverage as additional electronics coverage

If probability of purchasing additional electronics coverage = p, then prob of purchasing jewelry coverage = 3p

The two events are independent hence joint probability is product of these two.

i.e. P(both) = p(3p) =3p^2

This is given as 0.2

3p^2 =0.2\\p = 0.258

the probability that a homeowner purchases exactly one coverage.

=P(AUB)-P(A \bigcap B)

= Prob he purchases I + prob he purchases II-2(prob he purchases both)

= 0.258+3(0.258)-2(0.2)\\=0.632

The circle graph is usually used to show proportions of a whole.

The Venn Diagram is used to represent the relationship between two or more collection of objects.

The double bar graph is used to compare two variables over a period of time.

The line graph is used to compare the trends of a variable over a period of time.

Therefore, the graphical representation that would best display the number of points a home team and a visitor’s team scored in each game this season is the double bar graph.

Angles on a straight line add up to 180° so you do 180 take away 115 which gives you Y angle and then angles in a triangle add up to 180 so you do 45 add 65 and you get 110 which then u take away from 180 to get 70 answer D

A solid oblique pyramid has a square base with edges measuring x cm. the height of the pyramid is (x 2) cm.
defon

The volume of a solid oblique pyramid with a square base with edges measuring x cm and height (x + 2) cm is (x³ + 2x²)/3 cm³

What is an equation?

An equation is an expression that shows the relationship between two or more numbers and variables.

The base of the pyramid is x cm while the height is x + 2, hence:

Volume of pyramid = (1/3) * area of square base * height = (1/3) * x * x * (x + 2) = (x³ + 2x²)/3 cm³

The volume of a solid oblique pyramid with a square base with edges measuring x cm and height (x + 2) cm is (x³ + 2x²)/3 cm³

Please give a short description on how you would estimate the square root of a number that is not a perfect square without using
Rina8888 [55]
Step one- find a perfect square as close as possible to the number

step 2-divide the number by the square root

step 3- calculate the average of your result of step 2 and the root
step 4
Use the result of step 3 to repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have a number that you think is accurate enough for you.
