Meg lives in Indianapolis and wants to visit her mom in Lima. She has been meaning to go to a chiropractor in Dayton, so she is

wondering whether it makes sense to stop there on the way. Dayton is 165 miles east of Indianapolis, Lima is due north of Dayton, Indianapolis is 173 miles away from Lima, and there are straight roads connecting all three cities.
How many more miles would Meg drive if she stopped in Dayton first than if she drove directly to Lima?

First she would drive 165 miles.
Now we minus the distance of both cities. 173-165=
8 more miles.

Given cosx=12/13
TiliK225 [7]
1. You have the following information:

 Sinx=5/13

 Cosx=12/13

 2. By definiton, you have:

 Tanx=(Senx)/(Cosx)

 3. When you susbtitute Senx=5/13 and Cosx=12/13 into Tanx=(Senx)/(Cosx), you obtain:

 Tanx=(Senx)/(Cosx)
 Tanx=(5/13)/(12/13)
 Tanx=(5)(13)/(13)(12)
 Tanx=65/156

 4. Therefore, the answer is;

 Tanx=65/156

Two angles are supplementary if the sum of their measures is 180.
anastassius [24]
True.

two angles would be complementary if the sum of their angle measures is 90 degrees.

60 degrees and 30 degrees make a complementary angle while 90 and 90 degrees make a supplementary angle.

Salsk061 [2.6K]

Answer:

Not possible scores: 6, 15, 23, 31 and 58.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given that Juana threw five darts at a dartboard. The possible scores on the target were 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10. Each dart hit the target. We are asked to choose the total scores that can be quickly identified as "not possible".

Given scores: 38, 23, 58, 30, 42, 31, 26, 6, 14, or 15.

Since the maximum score is 10 and number of hits are 5, therefore, the maximum score can be hitting 10 each of the 5 times.

10\times 5=50

Since the maximum score is 50, therefore, 58 is an impossible score.

Since the minimum score is 2 and number of hits are 5, therefore, the minimum score can be hitting 2 each of the 5 times.

2\times 5=10

Since the minimum score is 10, therefore, 6 is an impossible score.

Since all scores on board are even, so the sum of 5 hits must be even, therefore, odd numbers like 15, 23, 31 are not possible scores.
