Well we know that it grows 8 in a year. so after 1 year has grown 1 * 8 and after 2 years 2 * 8 and after 3 years 3 * 8 and so on. since x is the year we can say 8x. but it starts with 5 ft so we add in the 5 to get h.
h = 8x + 5

Answer:

The correct option is D) H = 8x + 5

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to calculate the equation models the trees height h after x years

As given that it grows 8 in a year

so, after one year has grown 1 x 8 similarly after 2 years 2 x 8 and so on..

Since, x is the year we can say 8x.

it starts with 5ft so, we add 5 in 8x to get H.

but it starts with 5ft so we add in the 5 to get H.

H = 8x + 5

Therefore, the correct option is D) H = 8x + 5

wlad13 [49]

Answer: The quantity of the water received by each student = 3.75 liters.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Total water = 18.75 liters

Total students =5

If each student in the group used the same amount of water for their experiment, then the quantity of the water received by each student = \dfrac{\text{Total quantity}}{\text{Total students}}

=\dfrac{18.75}{5}\\\\=3.75\ liters

The quantity of the water received by each student = 3.75 liters.

As a member of a consumer group, you are interested in determining if the average number of crisps per can of Pringles is less t
Elza [17]

Answer:

Option A. The average number of crisps per can of Pringles is less than 100.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that the member of consumer group is wants to determine whether the average number of crisps per can of pringles is less than the average number of crisp mentioned in an advertisement whereas average number of crisp mentioned in an advertisement are 100 crisps per can. We know that the null hypothesis always contains equality and alternative hypothesis is contrary to the null hypothesis. Thus, the alternative hypothesis would be that the average number of crisps are less than 100 per can. So, the formed hypothesis are

Null hypothesis: The average number of crisps per can of Pringles is 100.

Alternative hypothesis: The average number of crisps per can of Pringles is less than 100.

Is it possible for a number to be a rational number that is not an interger but is a whole number. Explain
mylen [45]

Whole numbers are a subset of integers, which in turn are a subset of rational numbers.

So, every whole number is an integer, and every integer is a rational number.

So, it is possible for a rational number not to be an integer. Think of any decimal number: 1.356 is a rational number, but it's not an integer.

On the other hand, if a number is not an integer, it can't be a whole number, because all whole numbers are integers.
