The poverty line is a government-stimulated threshold whereby a traditional family of 4 living with a family income below $ 24,300 a year is considered poor. So imagine a family where the father and mother work, but not enough to accumulate the total of $ 24,300 per year, this family will be considered poor, because their income is below the poverty line.
