Having more police around would decrease the crime rates because the criminals would either be scared of getting caught or would attempt and get caught.

I believe the answer is: D. City residents will support mayoral candidates who propose increasing the size of the police force.

By increasing the size of police force, more people would be eligible to conduct a patrol in the neighbourhood. This would make people much less likely to conduct criminal activities and people in the neighbourhood would feel much safer to live in that area.

In many countries, people hold money as a cushion against unexpected needs arising from a variety of potential scenarios (e.g.
RoseWind [281]

Explanation:

precautionary demand for money is classified as money that are held to cover for unforeseen occurrence e.g, an accident or illness.

It should also be noted that: The amount of money held for such purposes is broadly dependent on the level of income and expenditure.

With more income the precautionary demand will increase because there are more likely to be surprises in the timing or magnitude of the correspondingly high expenditures

A higher rate of interest represents a higher opportunity cost of holding money for any reason, including the precautionary reason, and so leads to lower precautionary holdings.

For each item listed below, indicate the allocation terminology for the item. Use the following terms for your answer:
nexus9112 [7]

For each item listed the allocation terminology for the items are as follows:

Amortization: Copyrights, Patents, Trademarks and Annual licensing fees.

Depreciation: Buildings, Equipment and Land Improvements.

Depletion: None.

None of these: Land, Research and Development Costs and Franchises.

Explanation:

Throughout accounting, amortization applies to multiple-period distribution of revenues. The concept is used for two isolated processes: loan amortization and asset amortization. Depreciation is the reduction in asset value and the process used to redeploy or "write down" a tangible asset's expense (like equipment) over its expected life period.

Depletion is a term of accounting and taxation generally used in coal, forestry, petroleum, or other related industries. Depletion is identical to depreciation in that it is an accounting and tax tracking system for cost recovery.

spin [16.1K]

Answer:

The answer is $10,800

Explanation:

Straight line method of depreciation is:

Cost - residual value/number of useful life

Cost - $62,000

Residual value - $8,000

Number of years - 5years

=62,000 - 8,000/5

=57,000/5

$10,800.

Therefore, $10,800 will be charged every year.
