Given two complementary angles and one measures 32 degrees, find the measure of the other angle?

If you know what "complementary angles" means,
then you can do this one in your sleep.  If you don't,
then you can't do it at all.

"Complementary angles" means two angles
that add up to 90 degrees.

             (32 degrees) + (the angle you don't know)  =  90 degrees

Subtract 32 degrees from
each side of this equation:

          (the angle you don't know) = (90 degrees) - (32 degrees)

          (the angle you don't know) = (90° - 32°) = 58 degrees

One-Half the difference of a number and 15
slega [8]

Answer:

x - 15 ÷ 2

Step-by-step explanation:

Since it wants you to find the half of your answer after you find the difference, be sure to leave the two at the end of your equation. With that said, let's move into finding out what "the difference of a number and fifteen is". Whenever they tell you 'a number', it means they want you to put a variable, such as x, since you do not know the number and it could be any number. Now, the "difference" of something usually means...you guessed it, subtraction! Now that you've decoded your equation, you now know it means that x - 15 is the first part, and you can now put the one half right after it.

If this is confusing, I can explain further. :D

Type the correct answer in each box. Use numerals instead of words.
stira [4]

The system of equations when been placed in a matrix yields

\left[\begin{array}{ccc}650&-1\\120&1\end{array}\right]\left[\begin{array}{ccc}x\\y\end{array}\right]  =\left[\begin{array}{ccc}-175\\25080\end{array}\right]

<h3>What is an equation?</h3>

An equation is an expression that shows the relationship between two or more variables and numbers.

Given the equation:

y = 650x + 175 and;

y = 25080 - 120x

Rearranging the equations gives:

650x - y = -175 and;

120x + y = 25080

Placing the equations in a matrix gives:

\left[\begin{array}{ccc}650&-1\\120&1\end{array}\right]\left[\begin{array}{ccc}x\\y\end{array}\right]  =\left[\begin{array}{ccc}-175\\25080\end{array}\right]

The system of equations when been placed in a matrix yields

\left[\begin{array}{ccc}650&-1\\120&1\end{array}\right]\left[\begin{array}{ccc}x\\y\end{array}\right]  =\left[\begin{array}{ccc}-175\\25080\end{array}\right]

The dot plots show rainfall total for several spring storms in highlands areas an lowlands areas what is the median rainfall for
tankabanditka [31]

*See attached picture showing the dot plots referred to

Answer:

16mm

Step-by-step Explanation:

Given the dot plot showing rainfall for Highlands storms, we can find out the median rainfall for Highlands storms by mere observing the dot plot and locating where the middle value falls within the data set that is represented on the dot plot.

Thus, we have 44 data sets that is being represented on the plot, with one dot representing one data set for rainfall. This means, since the total number of data set is even, our median lies between the 22nd and the 23rd dot or data set that is being plotted.

From the dot plot for Highlands, the 22nd and 23rd dots are 16 and 16 respectively.

Therefore, median rainfall for Highland storms = (16 + 16) ÷ 2 = 16.

What will the length of segment I' J' be?<br>
Ymorist [56]

Answer:

5.333

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the length of dilated I' J' we need to dilate the shape.

To do this you multiply each coordinate by 8/3.

Ex: (x,y) ---> (8/3x, 8/3y)

H: (0,3) ---> (8/3*0, 8/3*3)

I: (1,1) ---> (8/3*1, 8/3*1)

J: (3,1) ---> (8/3*3, 8/3*1)

K: (2,5) ---> (8/3*2, 8/3*5)

Now we plot this. (Picture attached)

The new I' coordinate: (2.667, 2.667)

The new J' coordinate: (8, 2.667)

The new length would be 8 - 2.667 so we can find the distance between the two points.

Note we are subtracting the y coordinates and not x because x coordinates represent height and y represents length

8 - 2.667 equals 5.333

So the length of segment I' J' will be 5.333
