So all you need to do is to multiply 12.49 by 1.13 ( since 1.00 is the price and 0.13 is the added tax rate), which gives you $14.11

Work out b(4½-3⅔)+1⅔
Zolol [24]

Answer:

2 \frac{1}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Change the mixed numbers to improper fractions

(\frac{9}{2} - \frac{11}{3} ) + \frac{5}{3} ← the LCM of 2 and 3 is 6

= \frac{9(3)}{2(3)} - \frac{11(2)}{3(2)} + \frac{5(2)}{3(2)}

= \frac{27}{6} - \frac{22}{6} + \frac{10}{6}

= \frac{5}{6} + \frac{10}{6}

= \frac{15}{6}

= \frac{5}{2}

= 2 \frac{1}{2}

Rico spent $87.00 to go to the movies on Friday night. He spent $25.75 on popcorn and drinks and paid $12.25 for each movie tick
Svetlanka [38]
You haven't given the equations I'm supposed to chose from, but the answer would be

25.72 + 12.25x = 87.00 is the equation.

He spent a total of $87

The popcorn was 25.75 and each ticket was 12.25, which means we must add the amounts they costs and multiply how my tickets he bought, which is x.

5 is the solution

every fourth visitor to a museum gets a free bumper sticker every tent visitor to the museum gets a free keychain which visitor
ioda
The 20th visitor will be the first to get both the key chain and the bumper sticker, I found this out by finding the least common multiple, or LCM, you do this by writing out the multiples of both 4 and 10, 4 8 12 16 20..... and 10 20 30... then you find the smallest number that both 4 and 10 have in common. I hope this helps, sorry if it doesn't.

(m-3)/(7)=(m)/(m+8) Solve the proportion.
ExtremeBDS [4]

Answer: m=6, m=-4

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this proportion, we have to cross multiply.

\frac{m-3}{7} =\frac{m}{m+8}

(m-3)(m+8)=7m

Now that we have cross multiplied, we actually need to FOIL the left side to expand the equation.

m^2+8m-3m-24=7m

Combine like terms.

m^2+5m-24=7m

We can move all terms to one side and then solve for m.

m^2-2m-24=0

We can actually factor this to:

(m-6)(m+4)=0

We set each factor equal to 0 to find m.

m-6=0

m=6

m+4=0

m=-4
