The answer is: A. nominal

Example of a nominal damage would be when the plaintiff sue the defendant for insulting the plaintiff in a local restaurant. In such case, even if the defendant is proven to be wrong, there is no financial damage that the defendant cause to the plaintiff.

After hearing this type of cases, the court would order the defendant to give small amount of money to the plaintiff (around $1 - $2 ) as a form of recognition that defendant has did something wrong.

The plans being put in place by Julio to cater for himself and his wife Gloria ensure that they have at least a happier first year of retirement than he would have had. We may not be able to categorically ascertain that all of julio's retirement years would be happier that it would have been as this depends on sustainability. However, at least the first year could be said to be happier for Julio after retirement.
