Which graph represents a linear function? A coordinate plane is shown with a way line beginning along the x axis and continuing

along the graph. It curves up and down reaching y equals 1 and y equals negative 1 in a steady pattern along the horizontal axis A coordinate plane is shown with a parabola opening in a downward U shape. The vertex of the parabola is at y equals 7 point 5 and opening downward on either side of the y-axis from there A coordinate plane is shown with a line crossing through the y axis at negative 3 and the x axis at 2. A coordinate plane is shown with a line that begins to the left of the y axis passing through negative 1 comma negative 4, then curving right and passing through the y-axis at negative 4. It curves again and continues upward, passing through the x axis at around x equals 1.

Answer:

The correct option is C) A coordinate plane is shown with a line crossing through the y axis at negative 3 and the x axis at 2.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided information.

We need to determine the linear function.

The graph of a linear function is a straight line with no curves. The slope of a line can be a positive number or negative number.

Now consider the provided options:

Option A) A coordinate plane is shown with a way line beginning along the x axis and continuing along the graph. It curves up and down reaching y equals 1 and y equals negative 1 in a steady pattern along the horizontal axis.

This option is incorrect because it does not describe a straight line, as it consists curves.

Option B) A coordinate plane is shown with a parabola opening in a downward U shape. The vertex of the parabola is at y equals 7 point 5 and opening downward on either side of the y-axis from there.

This option is incorrect because describes a parabola which is the graph of a quadratic function.

Option C) A coordinate plane is shown with a line crossing through the y axis at negative 3 and the x axis at 2.

This is the correct answer because it describes a straight line that passes through the points (0 , - 3) and (2 , 0).

Option D) A coordinate plane is shown with a line that begins to the left of the y axis passing through negative 1 comma negative 4, then curving right and passing through the y-axis at negative 4. It curves again and continues upward, passing through the x axis at around x equals 1.

This option is incorrect because it does not describe a straight line, as it consists curves.

eimsori [14]
He overdrew his account by $19, so he is at $-19. His bank charges $35 fee. -19 - 35 = -54. He deposits $60, so 60 + (-54) = 6. He has $6 as his ending balance.

An Olympic hurdler was part of the way through her race when she fell. She got up and completed the final 353535 meters of her 1
guajiro [1.7K]

hurdler falled down before the 353535 steps of 100100100 race.

we need to find where she fell down

so we need subtract 353535 from 100100100

100100100-353535=99746565

she falled at 99746565 step before completing the race

(9, 8) is the midpoint of mc136-1.jpg. The coordinates of S are (10, 10). What are the coordinates of R?
kolbaska11 [484]
I cant see the image...but I take it that the midpoint is (9,8) and the endpoint S is (10,10) and ur looking for the other endpoint R.

midpoint formula : (x1 + x2) / 2, (y1 + y2) / 2
(10,10)....x1 = 10 and y1 = 10
(x,y)....x2 = x and y2 = y
so we sub
(10 + x) / 2, (10 + y) / 2 = 9/8

(10 + x) / 2 = 9
10 + x = 9 * 2
10 + x = 18
x = 18 - 10
x = 8

(10 + y) / 2 = 8
10 + y = 8 * 2
10 + y = 16
y = 16 - 10
y = 6

so endpoint R has coordinates of (8,6) <===
