Answer:

It converts them into residential or agricultural areas

Explanation:

The land development has been destroying the ecosystems for quite some time now. In order to satisfy their own needs, the humans have been merciless toward the environment. Lot of forests have been cut down, wetlands dried out, and grasslands converted. The main reasons have been to convert these areas into residential or agricultural areas. In the past two centuries though, there has also been another major reason, and that is the industrial development, and in order for the people to make space for the industry and to get to resources for it to run, they have destroyed countless ecosystems.

Which cellular environments is conducive to the formation of disulfide bonds within or between proteins?
Solnce55 [7]

Answer:

The rough ER

Explanation:

Generally the formation of native  disulphide bond is essential for the folding and maturation of  proteins in the secretory pathways. These bonds are formed in the rough E.R, and also in the intramembrane of the mitochondria.

Basically an oxdative parthways is required  for the disulfide bond to form, while a reductive pathway is needed for the formation of isomers for non-native disulphide bonds. These oxidative pathways takes place in the rE.R

Generally the disulphide bonds is usually formed by oxidation of  two cysteines bonds. it does not occur in the cytoplasm because it is always in reduced state due to the presence of disulphide reductase. The same explains why it does not occur in the Nuclei

Gerri says that a spider use their fangs for the same purpose that crustaceans use their claws. Alana disagrees and says that sp
Lelechka [254]
According to a new study, spider's fangs are considered to be natural needles that they use for piercing the skeletons of prey and delivering the kiss of a venom. The fangs can also be used as a defense mechanism towards their predator or towards humans.

On the other hand, the crustacean's claws, like the crab claws can be used for protection, as well as for communication, excavating burrows, attracting mates and gathering food.

While the centipedes use their claw to grab their prey and inject venom to kill it or to protect itself from being harmed.

Considering these definitions, we can say the Gerri and Alana are both correct since the spider uses its fangs to inject venom like the centipede and to protect itself like the crustaceans.

How is energy lost from from an ecosystem?
Serhud [2]

Answer:

Energy that is not used in an ecosystem is eventually lost as heat. Energy and nutrients are passed around through the food chain, when one organism eats another organism. ... In each case, energy is passed on from one trophic level to the next trophic level and each time some energy is lost as heat into the environment.
