First the cost of $98 /yd³ by the conversion factor that
1 yd³ = 27 ft³.
 ($98 /yd³) (1 yd³ / 27 ft³) = $ 3 17/27/ft³

Let x be the width, the volume of the rectangular portion of the driveway is,

 V = (8 ft) (1/3 ft) x = 8x/3 ft³

Using the given total cost of the protion,
 C = $58.07 = (8x/3 ft³)(<span>$ 3 17/27/ft³)

x = 5.99957 ft
 the answer is  6 feet. (rounded)</span>

lara31 [8.8K]
X=number of gallons that she must order.

4 gallons-----------------3 weeks
(7 gallons + x)--------12 weeks

We solve this rule of 3.
(7 gallons +x)3 weeks=4 gallons*12 weeks
21 gallons weeks+3 x weeks=48 gallons weeks
3x weeks=48 gallons weeks - 21 gallons weeks
3x weeks=27 gallons weeks
x=(27 gallons weeks) / 3 weeks=9 gallons.

Solution: she must order 9 gallons more.

In triangles ABC and ADC,
Angle 1 = Angle 4
Angle 3 = Angle 2
AC = AC
Therefore, triangle ABC=ADC
Since, ABC=ADC
Similarly, triangle ABD= triangle CDB
Therefore, AB=CD and BC=DA

19,810 rounded to the nearest hundred is 19,800.
8 is in the hundreds place, and the number 1 is in front of it.

Numbers 1-4 in front of the number make the number stay the same.

Numbers 5-9 in front of the number make the numbers round up one number.
