Hello!

First you have to find the volume of the cylinder

To find the volume of a cylinder you use the equation

V =  \pi  r^{2} h

V is volume
r is radius
h is height

Put in the values you know and 3.14 for pi

V = 3.14 *  3^{2} * 7

Square the number

V = 3.14 * 9 * 7

Multiply

V = 197.82
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next you find the volume of the sphere

To find the volume of a sphere you use the equation

V =  \frac{4}{3}  \pi  r^{3}

V is volume
r is radius

Put in the values you know and 3.14 for pi

V =  \frac{4}{3} * 3.14 *  3^{3}

Cube the number

V =  \frac{4}{3} * 3.14 * 27

Multiply

V = 113.04
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally you subtract the two volumes from each other

197.82 - 113.04 = 84.78
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The answer is C)84.78

Hope this helps!

When finding the volume for a cylinder you use V=Bh or in this case...3.14xr squared. 3.14x3 squared by 2. This equals 28.26 when after rounding. Then for a sphere the formula is V=4/3x3.7x2 cubed by 3. This equals 220 after rounded. Subtract those and you have yourself your answer.

KonstantinChe [14]

Answer:A repeating pattern of figures that completely covers a plane, without gaps or overlaps, is called a<u> tessellation</u>.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • A tessellation of a flat surface is the tiling of a plane using one or more geometric shapes are called tiles, without overlaps or gaps.
  • They can be generalized to higher dimensions and a variety of geometries.

Therefore, A repeating pattern of figures that completely covers a plane, without gaps or overlaps, is called a<u> tessellation</u>.
