Answer:

Cell division will halt/discontinue

Explanation:

During mitosis, the chromosomes align at the cell's equator while spindle fibers from the opposite poles of the cell engage the chromosomes at the kinetochore of the centromere. The spindle fibers then start shortening towards the opposite poles, pulling apart sister chromatids in the process. The chromatids eventually migrates to the poles and the cytoplasm divides, resulting in the formation of two daughter cells.

<em>If spindle fibers formation is chemically inhibited, the dividing cell will not be able to proceed beyond metaphase. There will not be any structure to separate the chromosomes into chromatids and assist the chromatids to migrate to the poles. Mitosis will be stuck and cell division will eventually stop.</em>

What are “cones” in the eye and what do they do?
dusya [7]

Answer:

Cone cells, or cones, are photoreceptor cells in the retinas of vertebrate eyes (e.g. the human eye). They respond differently to light of different or color vision and function best in relatively bright light, as opposed to rod cells, which work better in dim light. Cones are mostly in the center of your retina. They help you see color and fine detail.

omeli [17]

Although glycolysis produces four molecules of atp by substrate-level phosphorylation, the net gain of atp for the cell is two molecules. This is because glycolysis is at first endergonic.

<h3>What is glycolysis?</h3>
  • The metabolic process that turns glucose into pyruvic acid is known as glycolysis.
  • The high-energy molecules adenosine triphosphate and reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide are created using the free energy released during this process.
  • A series of ten enzyme-catalyzed processes make up glycolysis.
  • The process by which glucose is broken down to provide energy is known as glycolysis.
  • It generates two pyruvate molecules, ATP, NADH, and water.
  • There is no need for oxygen throughout the process, which occurs in the cytoplasm of a cell.
  • Both aerobic and anaerobic creatures experience it.
  • The initial process in breaking down glucose to release energy for cellular metabolism is called glycolysis.
  • An energy-consuming phase and an energy-releasing phase make up glycolysis.

qaws [65]

Analysis of a blood sample from a fasting individuals who had not eaten for 24 hours be expected to reveal high levels of glucagon .

Hence the option B is correct .

<h3>What is glucagon ?</h3>

Glucagon is on of the natural hormone of the body .it is peptide hormone.

It is produced by alpha cells of the pancreas .

It controls bodily function which include it controls the glucose level in our body .

It will release in the response to drop in blood sugar due to prolonged fast ,exercise and protein rich meals .

Hence , OPTION B is correct .

When an animal confronts a "fight-or-flight" situation, the release of epinephrine promotes glycogen breakdown in the liver, hea
nika2105 [10]

Answer: and Explanation:

A.)The reason for the different products of glycogen breakdown in the two tissues is that glucose 6-phosphotase which is

a known enzyme that brings about hydrolysis of glucose 6-phosphate as a result of the creation of a phosphate group and free glucose is not available in heart and skeletal muscle, therefore, any glucose 6-phosphotase that is produced will just enters the glycolytic pathway and get converted to lactate through pyruvate, in the absence of Oxygen O2.

B) Whenever a situation involving fight or flight arises, the concentration of glycolytic precursors becomes high in order to prepare for muscular activity. Since the membrane is impermeable to any charged species, and at the same time glucose 6-phosphotase enzyme cannot be moved through the glucose transporter, then there cannot be a release of Phosphorylated intermediates from the cell. The blood glucose level must be maintained by the liver by releasing of glucose.

glucose that is later formed from glucose 6-phosphotase then enters the bloodstream.
