1) 6 in = 0.5 ft so we have 3 ft * 0.5 ft = 1.5 ft²

2) 80 yd = 240 ft so we have 10 ft * 240 ft = 2400 ft²

3) there is 6 squares of 4 ft * 4 ft, so that's 6 * 4 ft * 4 ft = 96 ft². Area of net and surface area describe same thing.

To find m, use m =y2-y1/x2-x1 formula

m = (8-(-3))/(-7-4)

m = 11/-11,

m = -1

Use y= mx+c to find equation of line

Plug in a pair of values,

-3= -1(4)+ c

c= 1

Thus, equation is:

y = -x+1

Equation of line perpendicular to this line is:

y= x+1

(-2+-5) equals -7.

Because the signs are the same, we dont change it.

(3+5) equals 8. Same like the other equation, the signs are the same so we do not change it.

Now we do (-7+8) The answer will be 1. Lets use a little graph since its hard to explain.

-8 -7 -6 -5 -4 -3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

Mark -7 anyway you want. (Circle it, draw a line under it, what ever you want.)

Now Move the line 8 times.

When you do that your line will stop at 1.
