Because the moon has less mass than the earth, objects on the moon are less effected by gravity.

Answer:

Due to low gravity, there is no atmosphere on moon. So, there is no air drag. Due to air drag, the fall of object slows down on the Earth but that does not happen on the moon. The size of the moon is one -fourth the size of the Earth. Thus, due to low gravity, the objects on the moon weigh less than that on the Earth. Large distance can be covered in small time. one is not able walk but take big leaps from one position to another.

Nimfa-mama [501]
Force is the interaction that changes the motion of an object. If we want to make a jump, our legs have to exert a force to the ground (or launch points), so that we can gain an equal and opposite force that changes our motion from being static on the ground to moving forward.

5. A 5.5 x10-6 C charge is located 0.28 m from a -3.5 x 10-6 C charge.
ra1l [238]

(a) The magnitude of force that the positive charge exerts on the negative charge is - 2.209 N.

(b) If the negative charge is doubled, then the force will also get doubled.

The new force will be F = -4.418 N.

Explanation:

The force acting between two charged particles separated by a distance is termed as Coloumb's force or electrostatic force. It can be termed as electrostatic force of attraction if the the force acting between the charges are oppositely charged. And it can be termed as electrostatic force of repulsion if the charges are similar or like charges.

In the present case, there is a positive and negative charge, so electrostatic force of attraction will be acting between them. As per Coloumb's law, the electrostatic force of attraction is directly proportional to the product of charges and inversely proportional to the square of distance of separation.

F = \frac{kQq}{d^{2} }

Here, k is the constant of proportionality which is equal to 9 ×10^{9} and Q, q are the two charges, d is the distance of separation.

So here Q = 5.5 ×10^{-6} C and q = - 3.5 ×10^{-6} C and d = 0.28 m

Then, F=-\frac{9*10^{9}*5.5*10^{-6} * 3.5 * 10^{-6}  }{(0.28)^{2} } = 2209.82*10^{-3}

So the magnitude of force that the positive charge exerts on the negative charge is - 2.209 N.

(b) If the negative charge is doubled, then the force will also get doubled.

The new force will be F = -4.418 N.

What is the average speed of a train that travels at 100km/hr for 6 hours and then 120km/hr for 5 hours
Sindrei [870]

Answer:

Explanation:

Average speed = Total distance / Total time.

100 km/hr

r = 100 km / hr

t = 6 hours

d = 6 * 100 = 600 km

120 km / hr

r = 120 km / hr

t = 5 hour

d = 120 * 5

d = 600 km

Total distance = 600 + 600 = 1200 km

Total time = 5 hour + 6 hours = 11 hours.

Average speed = 1200 km / 11 hours = 109.1

First we need to know the equation which is P=mv
Use the formula- 3.2 kg x m/s = 762 x V
divide 762 in both side to get the v by itself
now we will have 0.004193971166 and lets round it!
then we will have the answer of .0042
