From the table below;
Element B has two isotopes; One with a mass of 10.01 and a relative abundance of 19,91, while the other has a mass of 11.01 and a relative abundance of 80.09.
The average atomic mass = (10.01 × 19.91) + (11.01 × 80.09)
                                         = 1.99 + 8.817 = 10.81
Therefore; the average atomic mass is 10.81.

The average atomic mass = (10.01 × 19.91) + (11.01 × 80.09)
                                         = 1.99 + 8.817 = 10.81
Therefore; the average atomic mass is 10.81.

How many formula units of CaO are in 32.7 g of CaO?
zhuklara [117]

Answer:

D) 3.51x10²³ formula units

Explanation:

To know this, we need to calculate the molecular mass of CaO. To do that, let's use the atomic mass of each element of this compound.

Ca: 40.08 g/mol;    O: 16 g/mol

With these given AM, let's calculate the molar mass of CaO:

Mm CaO = 40.08 + 16 = 56.08 g/mol

Now that we have the MM of CaO, it's time to determine the moles of CaO:

moles = mass / MM

moles = 32.7 / 56.08 = 0.5831 moles

Finally to get the formula units, we need to use the Avogadro's number which is 6.02x10²³. According to this number, 1 mole of any substance has this number of atoms, molecules or formula units. So, if we have 0.5831 moles, then the formula units will be:

FU = 0.5831 * 6.02x10²³

FU = 3.51x10²³ formula units

Hope this helps

Which of the following is an acid? HF KOH LiF NH3
seraphim [82]

The compound HF is an acid. This is because it dissociates in water to give hydrogen ions (H⁺) as the only positively charged ions.

The others dissociate as follows: NH₃ reacts with water to form an alkaline solution NH₄OH.

LiF dissolves to form an ionic solution

KOH dissociates in water to form an alkaline solution.

The mass of an object Is 45 kilograms. It’s weight on earth is—— newtons, and it’s weight on the moon is ——newtons. Gravitationa
Lina20 [59]

Answer:

The weight of the object on earth =441N

Weight of the object on moon = 72N

Explanation:

Weight of a body is the product of its mass and acceleration due to gravity. Acceleration due to gravity varies between planetary bodies. The acceleration due to gravity on earth is 9.8 m/s² while on moon is 1.6m/s² and it goes different for others too.

Weight = Mass * acceleration due to gravity

Weight(e) = weight on earth

Weight (m) = weight on moon

Weight(e) = 45 * 9.8 = 441N

Weight (m) = 45 * 1.6 = 72N

Weight of a body is measured in a unit called Newton(N)
