If wavelengths of light from a definite region of the spectrum are engrossed by a material, then the materials will appear to be the complementary color. If violet light with wavelength of 400nm is immersed, the material will look yellow. If the material engrosses blue you will perceive the color orange.

Which of these statements accurately describes the processes that move nitrogen through the nitrogen cycle?
Alekssandra [29.7K]

Answer: C. Ammonification occurs when Bacteria break down plants

Explanation:

The Nitrogen cycle is a biogeochemical cycle by which Nitrogen moves around the various ecosystems present on Earth in different chemical forms. Various processes enable this and one of those is Ammonification.

Ammonification is a process in which microorganisms like bacteria and fungi breakdown plant and animal biomass upon death and convert nitrogen in these organic specimen into inorganic ammonia or ammonium which is then converted to Nitrates by the Nitrification process.

LC)A polygon is shown:
Vladimir [108]

The area of polygon MNOPQR is equal to the area of a rectangle that is 15 square units + area of a rectangle that is 2 square units.

How to calculate the area of this polygon?

First of all, we would determine the area of rectangle MNSR with a side length of 3 units as follows:

Area = L × W

Area = 3 × 5

Area = 15 square units.

Next, we would determine the area of rectangle MNSR with its dimensions as follows:

 • Length = 7 - 5 = 2 units.
 • Width = 3 - 2 = 1 unit.

Thus, its area is given by:

Area = L × W

Area = 2 × 1

Area = 2 square units.

Therefore, the area of polygon MNOPQR is equal to the area of a rectangle that is 15 square units + area of a rectangle that is 2 square units.
