Volume of pyramid = 1/3*AH, where A is the area of the base and H is the height

Since we are given three sides of the triangle (the base of the pyramid), we should use Heron formula: Area of a triangle = sq.root of(s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)), where s is the semi-perimeter (ie. the perimeter divided by 2) and a, b and c are side lengths.
s = (5 + 12 + 13)/2
= 30/2 = 15
A = sq,root of(15(15 - 5)(15 - 12)(15 - 13))
= sq.root of (15*10*3*2)
= sq.root of 900
= 30 m^2

Volume = 1/3*AH
= 1/3*30*9
= 90 m^3

Suppose you have 34 bread slices and 24 cheese slices. how many cheese sandwiches can you make
Brums [2.3K]
17 if you maintain the ratio of 2:1 for bread and cheese, but you would get a remainder of 7 cheese  slices. You could, however, cut up the extra pieces of cheese and add ~0.41 slices of cheese to each sandwich, which would melt into the rest of the cheese if you are grilling the sandwich. Otherwise, it's just an extra chunck, which is perfectly fine.

Explain the difference between four times the sum of X and Y and the sum of four times X and Y
tester [92]

Answer:

Condition 1:

four times the sum of X and Y = 4(X + Y)

Condition 2:

the sum of four times X and Y=  4X + Y

  • Difference:

        In condition 1, both the variables are first added and then multiplied by        four. This can be simplified as:

                   4X +4Y

I condition 2, only the variable X is multiplied with 4 and then added to Y.

  • Conclusion:

         With positive integers, condition 1 will always give a greater value.

         With negative integers, condition 2 will have greater value.

I hope it will help you!
