My brain doesn't completely understand this topic, but here's what I know:

Celluar Respiration creates carbon dioxide, photosythesis takes this carbon dioxide and turns it into oxygen.

Celluar Respiration is considered the opposite of photosythesis.

Algae: any of numerous groups of chlorophyll-containing, mainly aquatic eukaryotic organisms ranging from microscopic single-celled forms to multicellular forms 100 feet (30 meters) or more long, distinguished from plants by the absence of true roots, stems, and leaves and by a lack of nonreproductive cells in the reproductive structures: classified into the six phyla Euglenophyta, Crysophyta, Pyrrophyta, Chlorophyta, Phaeophyta, and Rhodophyta.

Amboeda: any of a large genus (Amoeba) of naked rhizopod protozoans with lobed and never anastomosing pseudopodia, without permanent organelles or supporting structures, and of wide distribution in fresh and salt water and moist terrestrial environments

Asexual reproduction: reproduction (as cell division, spore formation, fission, or budding) without union of individuals or gametes

Cilia: minute short hairlike process often forming part of a fringe

How are hormones distributed to tissues, and what determines which cells hormones will affect?
oee [108]

Answer:

b. They are carried throughout the body in the bloodstream, and each hormone affects target cells that have receptors for it.

Explanation:

Hormones are secreted by hormonal glands after they get signals to secrete or release the hormone. Then these hormones are carried by the bloodstream to their destination. Each hormone has its target organ or tissue which do not response to other hormones because it the cells in those tissue have specific receptor which binds to specific hormones.

For example, luteinizing hormone in male is produced by the pituitary gland which reach to the testis through blood and influence the Leydig cell to release testosterone. So Leydig cells have receptors for LH not for insulin hormone so it binds specifically to LH hormone. So the correct answer is b.
