Explanation:

Glucose is produced during photosynthesis.

Photosynthesis is a chemical pathway that’s integral to producing energy in plants and other primary producers. Energy in the form of molecules of glucose is produced from light, water and carbon dioxide while oxygen is released. This occurs in several complex steps, photosynthesis is a rate limited reaction, depends on several factors including carbon dioxide concentration, ambient temperature and light intensity; the energy is retrieved from photons, I.e. particles of light, and water is used as a reducing agent.

Water supplies the chlorophyll in plant cell with replacement electrons for the ones removed from photosystem II. Additionally, water (H2O) split by light during photolysis into H+ and OH- acts as a source of oxygen along with functioning as a reducing agent; it reduces the molecule NADP to NADPH by providing H+ ions. NADP and NADPH are integral to the Calvin cycle where monosaccharides or sugars like glucose are produced after the modification of several molecules.

overall: 6CO2 + 6H20 + (light energy) → C6H12O6 + 6O2

Carbohydrates like glucose function to supply energy and support molecules they consist of mainly sugars or starches in long chains and rings to form monosaccharide monomers. They include monosaccharides, disaccharides and polysaccharides which describes the type of bonding and the degree of complexity of the polymers.

Evidence that supports the prokaryotic origins of mitochondria and chloroplasts are all of the following except __________.
hodyreva [135]

Your question was incomplete (please check below the full content). The evidence that supports the prokaryotic origins of mitochondria and chloroplasts do not include multiple DNA copies associated with inner membranes.

What is organellar DNA?

The organellar DNA is the genome contained within mitochondria and chloroplasts, which is independent of nuclear eukaryotic DNA.

The organellar DNA contains multiple DNA molecules, which are found in association with the inner membrane, ant is not found in prokaryotic life forms.

The complete question in this case is: "Evidence that supports the prokaryotic origins of mitochondria and chloroplasts are the presence of mitochondria, a eukaryote engulfing prokaryotic photosynthetic cells, and non-photosynthetic eukaryotes, EXCEPT."

The endosymbiotic theory states that mitochondria and chloroplasts evolved from prokaryotic microorganisms that entered into a primitive eukaryotic cell.

This theory is supported by certain features of mitochondria and chloroplasts such as a similar size to prokaryotes.

In conclusion, evidence do not include the arrangement of the organellar DNA.

Blank respiration allows some organisms to live in
notka56 [123]

Answer:

it’s called the anaerobic respiration

Explanation:

The anaerobic respiration is the answer. I think it’s this because, the anaerobic respiration is supposed to help organisms be able to live in environments where there isn’t any oxygen. This is why I think that aerobic respiration should be the answer.

In the lock-and-key model of enzyme action, the ___________ fits into the __________ of the enzyme.
Novosadov [1.4K]

The answer is letter D. Substrate; Active Site The enzyme itself remains unchanged. It advise the active place of an enzyme is frequently reshaped by interactions with the substrate until the substrate is completely bound and the chemical reaction occurs, the lock and key model.

What are five similarities and five differences between bony fish and cartilaginous fish?
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

Differences

Bony Fish

They are both fresh water as well as marine.

Endoskeleton is made up of bone.

They have 4 pairs of gills.

Cloacal aperture is absent.

mouth is normally terminal

Cartilaginous Fish

They are marine.

Endoskeleton is made up of cartilage.

They have 5-7 pairs of gills.

Cloacal aperture is present.

mouth is at the ventural surface

similarties

Bony fish and cartilaginous fish represent two classes of aquatic chordates. Both bony fish and cartilaginous fish belong to the superclass Pisces. Both bony fish and cartilaginous fish have an endoskeleton.are their centralized nervous systems, their sizes are similar, they both belong to the phylum chordata, they are both a family of the fish, and both have a lateral line organ that enables the fish to detect movement and vibration in the water surrounding them.
