The correct answer is C) conservatives may have different views on many issues.

The reason that there is no clear definition for a political conservative is that conservatives may have different views on many issues.

Although we can identify conservative people or parties, sometimes there is no clear definition of them because they have many different views, depending on the issue at hand. Generally speaking, a conservative person is one who is very traditional, he/she opposes to high taxes to finance social programs, they opposed labor unions, they do not like government regulation and have a patriotic sense.

There is no clear definition for a conservative politician because conservatism can not be understood in itself, it is the expression of something deeper that determines it.

A conservative is by definition not a stupid or selfish person. Instead, it is someone who believes there is something worth saving in our lives. In fact, conservatism is a word with an old and honored meaning - but a meaning almost forgotten by Americans until recent times. Abrahan Lincoln wanted to be recognized as a conservative.

What was a major obstacle to drafting a new constitution at the Constitutional Convention of 1787?
arsen [322]

Answer: A. a disagreement between the states over representation in Congress.

The main disagreement was over whether representation would be the same for all states, or based on a state's population size. Then there was also a question, for basing representation on population size, about whether slaves counted in a state's population or not.

The Great Compromise and the Three-Fifths Compromise were worked out during the United States Constitutional Convention in 1787 in order to resolve these issues.

 • The Great Compromise resolved a dispute between small population states and large population states. Initially, a unicameral (one-chamber) legislature was envisioned. The large population states wanted representation in Congress to be based on a state's population size. The smaller states feared this would lead to unchecked dominance by the big states; they wanted all states to receive the same amount of representation. The Great Compromise created a bicameral (two-chamber) legislature. Representation in the House of Representatives would be based on population. In the Senate, all states would have the same amount of representation, by two Senators.
 • The Three-Fifths Compromise was a way of accounting (somewhat) for the population of slaves in states that permitted slavery. For taxation and representation purposes, the question was whether slaves should count in the population figures. (They were not considered voting citizens at that time.) The Three-Fifths Compromise said that three out of every five slaves could be counted when determining a state's population size for determining how many seats that state would receive in the House of Representatives.

Definition: this refers to the conservative political philosophy espoused by richard nixon in which state governments were given
pochemuha
The philosophy being referred to in this definition is known as New Federalism.

The goal of this ideology is to give a significant amount of power back to the state government. Nixon, along with other Republicans, felt that the federal government was far too large in its scope and power. This policy of new federalism would roll back this power so that state governments can make decisions based on their individual needs.

I need an essay on current Latin America
Usimov [2.4K]

Answer:

Latin America represents 1/10 of the world's population, and geographically can be located from the land extensions of Mexico, until the Patagonia at Argentina. Some of the most relevant elements of today's culture in Latin America are; Religion, Values, Attitudes, Social structure, Social stratification, Language and Gift-giving hospitality. The predominant religion throughout history in Latin America has been Catholicism. From big cities to small villages, churches, basilicas, and cathedrals are found. Catholicism left its mark, from customs and values to architecture and art. During many years in many countries the Catholic Church had power over all civil institutions, education, and law.

An important factor that might cause a cultural change in Latin America is Globalization. Industrialization is growing in Latin America rapidly and this is a consequence of globalization. Some of the changes that are likely to occur are modernization of cities which will make rich people richer, and poor people poorer. Mega-cities are being built by multinational corporations in cities such as Santiago in Chile.
