The answer to this question would be: Gastric juices mix with food to partially digest it.

Stomach or gaster will produce gastric juice which has an enzyme to digest protein and also lower the pH into acid. This way the gaster can kill bacteria that digested with the food to protect the intestine and helping digesting a part of the food(mainly protein). The food will be kept in the stomach for 2 hours so it's not quickly moved to the small intestine.
Other digestion will be done by the pancreas which can digest fat, carbohydrate, and protein in the small intestine.

Answer:

b. Coronary artery disease

Explanation:

Peripheral vascular disease is characterized by a reduction in blood flow and hence Oxygen through the peripheral vessels. WHen the needs of the tissues for oxygen exceeds the supply, areas of ischemia and necrosis will develop.

Risk factors include :

 1. Coronary artery disease
 2. Atherosclerotic chasnges
 3. Embolization
 4. Thrombus formation
 5. Increased coagunility of blood
 6. Hypertension
 7. Inflammatory process/infection

Evidence of coronary artery disease insists that other wessels are also diseased, hence it is a risk factor.Conversely, peripheral vascular disease , if present , is also a risk factor for coronary artery disease, and if present, it should be considered in reduction of cardiac risk factors.
