iam the president i am tired of giving speeches further thousand of people have written me asking me not to interrupt their favo

rite shows with the states of the union adress i decide i will not give a state of the union address as lonf as i am president can i do that?

No if it is required to give out a union address you have to do it no matter what the public thinks

It is required for the president to state the union address, even though the public is tired of the interruptions. In Article 2, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution, requiring the President to periodically "give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union." This shows how stating the union address is mandatory for the president.
