We don't even get a menu?  Man.

Transformations that are rigid motions are also called isometries.  They preserve size and shape.

Rigid Motions:

Translation

Rotation

Reflection

There's often another one called a

Glide Reflection

which is a combination of translation and reflection.

Not Rigid Motions:

Dilation

Obviously dilations change the size.  There are also transformations that distort the figure, for example scaling the coordinates differently.  Let's call them:

Stretching

Shearing

I really need to find x were are on properties of tangent
MissTica

Answer:

15√2

Step-by-step explanation:

Tan 45° = 1, and tan = (opposite side)/(adjacent side)

We can set up an equation as follows...

tan 45° = x/(15√2)

Solve it...

1 = x/(15√2)

  multiply both sides by 15√2 to isolate 'x'

15√2(1) = (15√2)x/(15√2)

   15√2 = x       ( the 15√2 in the numerator and denominator cancel out)

A pizza is to be cut into halves. Each of these halves is to be cut into sevenths. What fraction of the pizza is each of the fin
Hitman42 [59]

Answer: \dfrac{1}{14}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given, A pizza is to be cut into halves.

Since half is represented by \dfrac12 .

So each piece is now \dfrac12 of the original.

if each of these halves is to be cut into sevenths, then the fraction of  final pieces would be: \dfrac{1}{2}\times\dfrac{1}{7}=\dfrac{1}{14} or we can say each half is divides into 7 pieces since there are two halves, so there will be 2 x 7 = 14 peices.

And the fraction of the pizza is each of the final pieces = \dfrac{1}{14} .
