Steps:
1.) first you need to change miles to yards. So 1/4 mile is 440 yards.

So Trish ran the greater distance. If they want to know by how much if would be by 5 or you can subtract 445 - 440 which equals 5.

Hope this helped

Something for you to know: * If you ever need to change a fraction to a decimal and you have to use the number 4 like 1/4 think of 4's like quarters so 1 quarter is 25 cents. So the decimal for 1/4 is .25. And if you have to change a decimal to a percent like 1/4 is .25, you just put a prevent sign in back of the decimal. So .25 is 25% and 2/4 is .50 so the percent is 50%.

That's was just something for you to know. Tell me if you need me to explain it better. And I hope I didn't make you confused about the question you original asked me

A. 5°
B. 35°
C. 31°
D. 7°
MrRissso [65]

Answer:

(2x +30) and (3x -5) (they're opposite to eachother, so they're equal)

2x + 30 = 3x - 5 (set them equal to eachother, then subtract 3x from both side)

-1x = -35 (divide both sides by -1 to isolate x)

x = 35 or B (this is your answer)

Step-by-step explanation:

I hope this helps :))
