Let she work for x hours as carpenter !
so earned money = 20x

and for blacksmith she must work for 30-x hours

so earned money = (30-x) ×25

so putting in eqn;

20x+25(30-x) = 690
so, x= 60/5 = 12

so she works for carpenter for 12 hrs and 30-12= 18 hrs for blacksmith !!.....answer !!

- next multiply $22.5 x 15 which gets you $337.50

Number 5: is 65%
- 100% divided by 3,100 is .03225806
- then multiply .023225806 by 1085 which gets you 35%

It costs 135.25 for 15 child tickets ti the museum.Adult tickets cost 12.95 each. Find the cost for 40 children to attend along
Masja [62]

Answer:the cost for 40 children to attend along with 5 adult tickets = $ 417.55

Step-by-step explanation:

It costs 135.25 for 15 child tickets to the museum. Let us determine the cost per child ticket to the museum.

cost per child ticket to the museum.

= total cost of 15 child tickets / number of child tickets.

= 132.25 / 15 = 8.82

Adult tickets cost 12.95 each.

The cost of 40 child tickets is

40 × 8.82 = $352.8

The cost of 5 adult tickets = 5 × 12.95

=$ 64.75

the cost for 40 children to attend along with 5 adult tickets would be

352.8 + 64.75 = $ 417.55

Determine which numbers the equations need to be multiplied by to form opposite terms of the y-variable. 3x - 1 4 y = 15 2 3 x -
sesenic [268]

In the elimination method, one variable is eliminated from the system of equations to find the value of the other.

To create the opposite terms of the x-variable-

  • The first equation be multiplied by the number 4.
  • Second equation be multiplied by the number -6.

<h3>What is the elimination method?</h3>

To solve the system of equations and find the value of the variables, the elimination method is used.

In this method, one variable is eliminated from the system of equations to find the value of the other.

Given information-

The system of the equation given in the problem is,

\rm 3x-\dfrac{1}{4}y=15

The second equation given in the problem is;

\rm \dfrac{2}{3}x-\dfrac{1}{6}y=6

To eliminate the x term, make the coefficient of x of both equations equal.

It can be done by multiplying the coefficient of x term of the first equation to the second equation and the coefficient of x term of the second equation to the first equation.

The first equation is multiplied by;

\rm 4\times 3x-4\times \dfrac{1}{4}y=15\times 4\\\\12x-y=50

The second equation is multiplied by;

\rm -6 \times \dfrac{2}{3}x- -6 \times\dfrac{1}{6}y= -6 \times6\\\\-4x-y=-36\\\\4x+y=36

Hence, to create the opposite terms of the x-variable-

The first equation is multiplied by the number 4.

The second equation is multiplied by the number -6.
