Why are food and water the limiting factors that usually have the greatest effect on population size?
Firdavs [7]
Because food and water are resources that are basic needs for all members of the population. When these resources decrease more members of the population will either die or move to another area and the population size will decrease.

Hope this helps!

What type of water molecules have the greater tendency to condense to the liquid state from the gaseous state
ASHA 777 [7]

'The slower moving' type of water molecules have the greater tendency to condense to the liquid state from the gaseous state.

If the molecules speed up it means that energy has been added to the system. Eventually, therefore, the water would evaporate into steam (or water vapour) provided the energy was continued to be added to the system.

Vice versa if the molecules are slowed down then the water molecules in gas would condense and change their state from gas to liquid.

Condensation is the process where water vapour becomes liquid. It is the reverse of evaporation, where liquid water becomes a vapour.

Condensation happens one of two ways: Either the air is cooled to its dew point or it becomes so saturated with water vapour that it cannot hold any more water.

If the solvent front is 68 mm and the ring front of an unknown is 48mm from the original spot, what is the rf value?
Nat2105 [25]

Given:

Distance of solvent front = 68 mm

Distance of unknown = 48 mm

To determine:

The rf value

Explanation:

The retention factor or the rf value is given by the ratio of distance traveled by the unknown to the distance traveled by the solvent front

RF = distance by unknown/distance by solvent

RF = 48/68 = 0.706

Ans: the RF value is 0.706

A 3 kg soccer ball was kicked with a force of 15 Newtons. What was its acceleration
Gennadij [26K]

Answer:

5 m/s²

Explanation:

From the question, we are given;

 • Mass is 3 kg
 • Force is 15 N

We are supposed to calculate the acceleration;

 • To calculate the acceleration we will use the second Newton's law of motion;
 • According to Newton's second law of motion, the resultant force is directly proportional to the product of force and mass.
 • That is, F = ma

In this case;

To get acceleration we rearrange the formula;

a = F ÷ m

 = 15 N ÷ 3 kg

 = 5 m/s²

Therefore, the acceleration of the ball is 5 m/s²
