Answer: About 99.7%  IQ scores falls within 43 and 157.

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the empirical rule , if a data follows normal distribution then about 99.7% of the population lies with in three standard deviations from mean.

Given:   IQ test have a bell-shaped distribution with a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 19.

Since , the graph of normal distribution is bell-shaped , it mean that IQ scores follow normal distribution.

Then, About 99.7%  IQ scores falls within Mean ± 3 (Standard deviation).

i.e. About 99.7%  IQ scores falls within 100± 3(19).

i.e. About 99.7%  IQ scores falls within 100- 57 and 100+57.

i.e. About 99.7%  IQ scores falls within 43 and 157.

Therefore , by empirical rule

About 99.7%  IQ scores falls within 43 and 157.

A student claimed 7 and -7 are the two cube roots of 343 . Do you agree or disagree ? Explain .
dmitriy555 [2]
I disagree. Only 7 is a cube root of 343 (7 x 7 x 7) because -7 is a cube root of -343 (-7 x -7 x -7)

lora16 [44]

The subtraction function

(k-x)(x)

is defined as the subtraction of the two equations, representing each function:

(k-h)(x)=k(x)-h(x)

So, we have

(k-h)(x)=k(x)-h(x)=14x-2-(2x^3+4x-8)=-2x^3+10x+6

Answer:

The second water balloon is in the air longer. Balloon 1 will reach the maximum height faster because it is lower.

Step-by-step explanation:

This is because you drop the first balloon at a height of 105 ft. The second balloon is dropped at a height of 125 ft. The second balloon stays in the air longer because it was dropped at a higher elevation. Balloon 1 will reach the maximum height faster because it is lower.

If this answer is correct, please make me Brainliest!

On my graph, the black line is the equation for Balloon 1 and the red line is the equation for Balloon 2. Since the black line has a lower maximum, this means that Balloon 1 will reach its maximum first.
