an agreement that removes trade barriers, such as import tariffs and quotas

Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) have demonstrated to be one of the safest ways to open up international markets to U.S. exporters. Trade Agreements decrease restrictions in U.S. exports and also preserves U.S. interests. It also intensifies the rule of law in the FTA associate country.

FTA helps in lowering of trade restrictions and the also assisted in the formulation of a more stable and transparent trading environment. Such agreements makes it cheaper for U.S. companies to export their goods and services to trading associate markets.

You own an aircraft which is certificated to carry 8 occupants and has a total of 8 seats installed, including the pilot’s seat.
Alisiya [41]

Answer:

No. It's not possible to fly the aircraft in this scenario.

Explanation:

According to the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), BasicMed <em>"is an alternate way for pilots to fly without holding an FAA medical certificate as long as they meet certain requirements". </em>The FAA Extension, Safety, Security Act of 2016 (FESSA), established that the following aircraft requirements to fly under BasicMed:

  • Any aircraft authorized under federal law to carry not more than 6 occupants
  • Has a maximum certificated takeoff weight of not more than 6,000 poundS.

So, according to this, the aircraft don't accomplish the FAA requirements to fly under BasicMed.

The statement below is from a statement made by Thaddeus Stevens, member of the House of Representatives in 1868.
stepladder [879]

The correct answer is B) presidential impeachment.

How might similar statements influence congressional action?

presidential impeachment.

Congress has the constitutional power of impeaching federal officials, including the United States President.

When federal officials commit a crime or act in an incorrect way the House of Representatives can initiate an impeachment process.

The impeachment process is the official mechanism to remove the President of the United States, the vice president or other government officials that are suspected of having committed any high crime, treason, or misconduct. If the House of Representatives approves by sole majority articles of impeachment, the matter is presented to the Senate. The Constitution provides the Senate with the sole power to try an impeachment process.
