You can't prove that generalization is likely correct. <em />It is told that generalization is never correct and some has told that generalization is sometimes correct, so I guess that would depend on your thoughts, opinions.
hope this helped!!

Svetllana [295]

Answer:

\frac{37}{8}

Step-by-step explanation:

1 \frac{3}{8} ---------> \frac{11}{8}

3 \frac{1}{4} ---------> \frac{13}{4} (multiply by \frac{2}{2}) -----------> \frac{26}{8}

\frac{11}{8} +\frac{26}{8} =\frac{37}{8}

What is the equation in slope intercept form (y=Mx+b) of the line that passes through the point (7, -3) and has a slope of -5?
Mashutka [201]
<h3>Answer:  y = -5x+32</h3>

=========================================

Work Shown:

You can use point slope form by plugging in m = -5 and (x_1, y_1) = (7,-3)

So,

y - y_1 = m(x - x_1)\\\\y - (-3) = -5(x - 7)\\\\y + 3 = -5(x - 7)\\\\y + 3 = -5x + 35\\\\y + 3-3 = -5x + 35-3 \text{ subtract 3 from both sides} \\\\y = -5x + 32\\

---------------

Or you could use y = mx+b to solve for the value of b

Plug in m = -5, and (x,y) = (7,-3)

y = mx+b\\\\-3 = (-5)(7)+b\\\\-3 = -35+b\\\\-3+35 = -35+b+35\\\\32 = b\\\\b = 32\\\\

Since m = -5 and b = 32, we know that y = -5x+32 is the equation of the line.

an equation for the line that passes through (-4, 8) and (3, -7). What is the slope? Where does the line intersect the x-axis an
Keith_Richards [23]
Slope = (-7-8)/(3+4) = -15/7

We cannot determine the y-intercept unless we know at least 2 points.

Pls thank me if i am right
I hope this helped:D
