Centripetal acceleration is the rate of change of tangential velocity

Give: Radius r = 17.6 cm;   Velocity  V = 110 cm/s

Formula:  Centripetal acceleration  ac = V²/r

ac = (110 cm/s)²/17.6 cm

ac = 687.5 cm/s²

A lightweight string is wrapped several times around the rim of a small hoop. If the free end of the string is held in place and
MariettaO [177]

Answer:

Explanation:

Let T be the tension

For linear motion of hoop downwards

mg -T = ma , m is mass of the hoop . a is linear acceleration of CG of hoop .

For rotational motion of hoop

Torque by tension

T x R ,      R is radius of hoop.

Angular acceleration be α,

Linear acceleration a = α R

So TR = I  α

= I  a / R

a = TR² / I

Putting this value in earlier relation

mg -T = m TR² / I

mg = T ( 1 + m R² / I )

T = mg / ( 1 + m R² / I )

mg / ( 1 + R² / k² )

Tension is less than mg or weight because denominator of the expression is more than 1.

1 <span>The electric power sector generates most of the electricity in the United States, and the other four sectors consume most of that electricity. ... For example, petroleum provides about 92% of the energy used for transportation, but only 1% of the energy used to generate electricity.</span>

2 <span>In a simple case such as an object resting upon a table, the normal force on the object is equal but in opposite direction to the gravitational force applied on the object (or the weight of the object), that is, , where m is mass, and g is the gravitational field strength (about 9.81 m/s2 on Earth).</span>

3 <span>Efficient energy use, sometimes simply called energy efficiency, is the goal to reduce the amount of energy required to provide products and services. For example, insulating a home allows a building to use less heating and cooling energy to achieve and maintain a comfortable temperature.</span>

4 <span>A performance appraisal is a formal process used to assess an employee's effectiveness and productivity and serves both administrative and developmental purposes. Administratively, it helps guide decision-making regarding employment actions, personnel planning and training and development.</span>

any of the basic mechanical devices for applying a force, such as an inclined plane, wedge, or lever.

6 <span>Mechanical advantage is a measure of the force amplification achieved by using a tool, mechanical device or machine system. The device preserves the input power and simply trades off forces against movement to obtain a desired amplification in the output force. The model for this is the law of the lever.</span>

1. How do energy and matter recycle in a closed-loop system?
Makovka662 [10]

Answer:

In a closed-loop system, matter is used to generate energy, and the energy generated is used to produce matter, and the cycle goes on without end.

Explanation:

A closed-loop system is one in which materials or energy is recycled without end through a production cycle. This means that a raw material is used to produce a finished product, and the finished product at the end of its use cycle is converted back and used as a raw material to produce more of it again. Energy and matter can also be cycled in the same way in an energy and matter closed-loop system, converting matter to energy, and the energy is put back into the production of more of the matter.
