The average is also known as the mean of the set of values given. If they want the average of the data set the formula would be to add all the numbers given and divide it by the amount of numbers there are (nth value).

Here we have 7 numbers which is our n. That will be the denominator. Let's add the given data set:

-3+-5+3+7+-2+-2+-5=-7

The numerator will be -7. Now put the numerator and denominator together to divide.

\frac{-7}{7} =-1

Therefore the average is -1 degrees Fahrenheit.

Hope that helps!

the nth term of a sequence is given by an²+bn where a and b are integers the 2nd term of the sequence is 2 4th term of the seque
stealth61 [152]

Answer:

54

Step-by-step explanation:

Tn = an²+bn

T2 = a2²+2b

2 = 4a +2b

Multiply all through by 2

4 = 8a +4b

4b = 4-8a

T4 = a4² + 4b

20 = 16a +4b

4b = 20-16a

4-8a = 20-16a

16a -8a = 20-4

8a = 16

a = 16/8 = 2

4b = 4-8a = 4-8(2) = 4-16 = -12

b = -12/4 = -3

T6 = a6² + 6b

T6 = 2(36) + 6(-3) = 72 -18 = 54

PLZZZ HURRYYY!!Which graph best represents the solution to the system of equations shown below? y = -4x + 19 y = 2x + 1 A coordi
elena-s [515]

Answer:

Two lines are shown intersecting on ordered pair 3, 7.

Step-by-step explanation:

The first of the two lines has a slope of -4 and a y-intercept of 19 (off the top of the graph). It will decrease 4 units for each 1 unit to the right.

The second of the two lines has a slope of +2 and a y-intercept of +1. It will increase 2 units for each 1 unit to the right.

These two lines must intersect in the first quadrant at a point with an x-value less than 5, eliminating the first and last two choices, leaving only the second choice you have listed here.

You would have to examine the graphs to see which has the lines with proper slope and intercept.

My graphing calculator's solution is attached.

Please show work 7r + 21 = 49r
gulaghasi [49]

Answer:

1/2 = r

Step-by-step explanation:

7r + 21 = 49r

Subtract 7r from each side

7r-7r + 21 = 49r-7r

21 = 42r

Divide each side by 2

21/42 = 42r/42

1/2 = r
