Answer:

It is described in terms of displacement, distance, velocity, acceleration, time and speed. Jogging, driving a car, and even simply taking a walk are all everyday examples of motion.

...

Answer:

Answer is below. Hope this helps you!

Step-by-step explanation:

(i)v = u + at

(ii) s = ut + 1/2 *at²

(iii)2as = v²-u²

Examples:

A train starting from rest attains a velocity of 72km/h in 5 minutes. Assuming that the acceleration is uniform, find (i) the acceleration and  (ii)  the distance travelled by the train for attaining this velocity.

72km/h = 20m/s

(i) use v= u+ at

20 = 0 + a*300

20 = 5a

20 / 300= a

1/15 ms² = a

to find distance

use 2as= v²-u²

2 *1/15 * s = (20) - 0²

2/15s = 400

s = 400 * 15/2

s = 3000m = 3 km

a car accelerates with a uniform acceleration of 1m/s². it starts with a  velocity of 18km/h and reaches 36 km/h in 5 seconds find the distance travelled.

18 km /h = 5m/s

36km/h = 10m/s

use - s= ut + 1/2at²

s = 5 * 5 + 1/2 * 1 * (5)²

s = 25 + 25/2

s = 37.5 meters

Suppose r(t)=costi+sintj+3tk represents the position of a particle on a helix, where z is the height of the particle above the g
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

a. The \vec k component tells you the particle's height:

3t=16\implies t=\dfrac{16}3

b. The particle's velocity is obtained by differentiating its position function:

\vec v(t)=\dfrac{\mathrm d\vec r(t)}{\mathrm dt}=-\sin t\,\vec\imath+\cos t\,\vec\jmath+3\,\vec k

so that its velocity at time t=\frac{16}3 is

\vec v\left(\dfrac{16}3\right)=-\sin\dfrac{16}3\,\vec\imath+\cos\dfrac{16}3\,\vec\jmath+3\,\vec k

c. The tangent to \vec r(t) at t=\frac{16}3 is

\vec T(t)=\vec r\left(\dfrac{16}3\right)+\vec v\left(\dfrac{16}3\right)t

Find the volume and surface area of a sphere with radius 1 yards. Round your answer to two decimal places.
olga55 [171]

Answer:

Volume of the sphere up to two decimal places= 4.19 cubic yards

Surface area of the sphere up to two decimal places  =12.56 square yards

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

The radius of the sphere= 1 yard

Volume of a Sphere:

                        \frac{4}{3}* \pi *r^3                                                         :\pi =\frac{22}{7} =3.14

               =\frac{4}{3}*3.14*1*1*1

               =4.187 cubic yards

Volume of the sphere up to two decimal places= 4.19 cubic yards

Surface area of the sphere= 4*\pi* r^2

                                           =4*3.14*1*1

Surface area of the sphere up to two decimal places  =12.56 square yards
