Answer:

Answer is below. Hope this helps you!

Step-by-step explanation:

(i)v = u + at

(ii) s = ut + 1/2 *at²

(iii)2as = v²-u²

Examples:

A train starting from rest attains a velocity of 72km/h in 5 minutes. Assuming that the acceleration is uniform, find (i) the acceleration and  (ii)  the distance travelled by the train for attaining this velocity.

72km/h = 20m/s

(i) use v= u+ at

20 = 0 + a*300

20 = 5a

20 / 300= a

1/15 ms² = a

to find distance

use 2as= v²-u²

2 *1/15 * s = (20) - 0²

2/15s = 400

s = 400 * 15/2

s = 3000m = 3 km

a car accelerates with a uniform acceleration of 1m/s². it starts with a  velocity of 18km/h and reaches 36 km/h in 5 seconds find the distance travelled.

18 km /h = 5m/s

36km/h = 10m/s

use - s= ut + 1/2at²

s = 5 * 5 + 1/2 * 1 * (5)²

s = 25 + 25/2

s = 37.5 meters

Lines
kirill [66]

Answer:

line r: y=-2x-2

line s: -2x+1

lime t: -2x+3

Step-by-step explanation:

every slope must be -2 since that's stated in the question

to find b in y=mx+b, you substitute 0 for x and the y coordinate when x is 0 into the equation (for example for slope r, when x is 0 then y is -2, so -2=-2(0)+b) then solve for b (-2=-2(0)+b is -2=b)

basically, b is the y component when x is 0

Aaron had 5/7 as much money as Remus. After Aaron spent 3/5 of his money on a laptop.
blsea [12.9K]

Step-by-step explanation:

let Remus' money be = y

Aaron's = 5/7 y

3/5 * 5/7 y = 3/7 y

balance= 2/7 y

y - 2/7y = 2820

5/7 y= 2820

y = 2820*7/5= 564*7 = 3948

Find the sum: (x^5 - 2x^4 + 3x^2 - 6) + (3x^4 + 4x^2 + x + 4). Enter your answer as a
stich3 [128]

Answer:

The sum of the two equation is x^5 + x^4 + 7x^2 + x -2

Step-by-step explanation:

The given two equations are

(x^5 - 2x^4 + 3x^2 - 6)\\ (3x^4 + 4x^2 + x + 4)

Now rearranging the two equation in such a way that variables with similar with same power are grouped together -

x^5 - 2x^4 + 3x^4  + 3x^2 + 4x^2 + x- 6+ 4\\x^5 + x^4 (3-2) + x^2 (3+4) + x -6+4\\x^5 + x^4 + 7x^2 + x -2
