The answer would be 2 because the problem(after rewriting it) is -8w+48=32. so then you subtract 48 from both sides and get -8w=-16. then divide both sides by -8 and you get 2

True [87]

Given:

Compound shape

To find:

The area of the compound shape.

Solution:

The compound shape is splitted into two parallelograms.

<u>Bottom parallelogram:</u>

Base = 7.5 cm

Height = 5 cm

Area of the parallelogram = base × height

                                           = 7.5 × 5

                                           = 37.5 cm²

The area of the Bottom parallelogram 37.5 cm².

<u>Top parallelogram:</u>

Base = 7.5 cm

Height = 4.5 cm

Area of the parallelogram = base × height

                                           = 7.5 × 4.5

                                           = 33.75 cm²

The area of the top parallelogram 33.75 cm².

Compound shape = 37.5 + 33.75

                               = 71.25 cm²

The area of the compound shape is 71.25 cm².

Find the area of following rhombuses. Round your answers to the nearest tenth if<br> necessary.
polet [3.4K]

Answer:

Area =55.4ft^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

The attached rhombus

Required

The area

First, calculate the length of half the vertical diagonal (x).

Length x is represented as the adjacent to 60 degrees

So, we have:

\tan(60) = \frac{4\sqrt 3}{x}

Solve for x

x = \frac{4\sqrt 3}{\tan(60)}

\tan(60) = \sqrt 3

So:

x = \frac{4\sqrt 3}{\sqrt 3}

x = 4

At this point, we have established that the rhombus is made up 4 triangles of the following dimensions

Base = 4\sqrt 3

Height = 4

So, the area of the rhombus is 4 times the area of 1 triangle

Area = 4 * \frac{1}{2} * Base * Height

Area = 4 * \frac{1}{2} * 4\sqrt 3 * 4

Area =2 * 4\sqrt 3 * 4

Area =55.4ft^2

Find the gross pay for 39 hours at $8.17 per hour
skelet666 [1.2K]
It is a simple multiplication problem. If you work for 39 hours, and you get paid $8.17 for every hour you work, just multiply 8.17 by 39 to get the gross pay.

8.17 x 39 = 318.63

The gross pay is $318.6.

Hope this helps =)
