Answer:

The amount of amortized organizational expenses for the year 2013 would be $6,333 ( approximately )

Explanation:

First of all the important point here to note is that while calculating the amortized organizational cost we only include the legal fee for drafting the corporate charter and not the commission paid to underwriter or cost incurred while selling the stock.

In the legal fee for corporate charter too there are limitations , as only $50,000 are allowed as total expenditure to be amortized over a period of 15 years or 180 months. Where for the first year the limitation allowed is $5000 and rest of the amount would be amortized over 180 months.

So $45,000 - $5000 = $40,000

$40000 / 180 = $222.22

Now multiplying this by 6 months as the operations of company began on 1 July , 2013,

$222.22 x 6 = $1333.32

Now adding this amount to $5000 will give us the total amortized organizational expense,

$5000 + $1333.32 = $6,333.32

= $6,333 ( approximately )

What is the similar about negative growth rate and zero growth rate?
kifflom [539]
The similarity of negative growth rate and zero growth rate is that there is no growth towards a positive output. For example, if the business is currently in either state, it is not earning. It may be very stagnant (for zero growth rate) or losing (for negative growth rate). Which either the case may be, it is not beneficial to the business owner.

Answer and Explanation:

a. The computation of the weighted average contribution margin ratio is shown below:

The Contribution margin ratio is

= (Combined contribution ) ÷ (Sales)

= ($60,000 + $180,000) ÷ ($1,000,000)

= ($240,000) ÷ ($1,000,000)

= 0.24

b. Now the break even point in dollars is

= Fixed cost ÷ contribution margin ratio

= $300,000 ÷ 0.24

= $1,250,000

We simply applied the above formula so that the correct value could come

Jakarta Company is a service firm with current service revenue of $500,000 and a 40% contribution margin. Its fixed costs are $8
Lady_Fox [76]

Answer and Explanation:

The computation of the margin of safety is shown below:

As we know that

margin of safety = Actual sales - break even sales

For Jakarta, it is

= $500,000 - ($80,000 ÷ 0.40)

= $500,000 - $200,000

= $300,000

And, for maldives, it is

= $6,620,000 - ($2,151,500 ÷ 50%)

= $2,317,000
