The first thing that I should do is

1. Administer oral glucose.

2. Contact medical control.

Insulin helps in leveling of sugar from either going high or getting low. It is termed as the body to use glucose from carbohydrates which is got from food.

Sugar is needed by cells in order to have energy where it can not go direct. Insulin is termed as the main key which acts as a lock to unlock the cell so as to allow sugar to be used as energy and enter into the cell.

If this is for a Paramedic course, you will start an IV and administer D50 at a slow push.
