Anastasy [175]

Answer:

The challenges my business would face would be that we would have trouble communicating and producing products. We use the internet so much every day and it is essential in emailing and other methods of communication. We have to communicate with customers, contractors and installers among many others. We also need the internet for sending orders and order designs to the machines that do the cut-outs needed for the products. Production time would slow down dramatically if we were to try to cut out the products on our own or if we were to have to input the designs manually. Communication between different areas would take much more time because we would have to make landline phone calls to them instead of sending out emails. Our drawing staff, the people who create the designs would also have difficulties working. This is because we draw using an online webspace so that it can be easily looked over then transferred to the machines. Drawers would have to create by hand and then walk the design over to the other areas to be produced. Those are some challenged that our company would face if we had to work without power for an entire day.

Powers Corporation has provided the following information for its most recent month of operation: sales $16,000; ending inventor
Elza [17]

Answer:

The beginning inventory was  $2000.

Explanation:

First, we need to calculate the Cost of Goods sold. The cost of Goods sold is the difference between the Sales and the gross profit. Thus, the cost of goods sold is 16000 - 10000  =  $6000

The value of the beginning inventory for the period can be calculated by using the Cost of Goods sold formula. The cost of goods sold is calculated as:

Cost of goods sold = Beginning inventory + Purchases - Closing Inventory

Plugging in the available figures in the formula,

6000  =  Beginning Inventory  +  8000  -  4000

6000 = Beginning inventory + 4000

6000 - 4000 = Beginning Inventory

Beginning Inventory = $2000

David Ortiz Motors has a target capital structure of 40% debt and 60% equity. The yield to maturity on the company's outstanding
Marrrta [24]

Answer:

Cost of equity = 14.43%

Explanation:

Weigheted Average cost of capital is computed using the formula below:

WACC = (Wd×Kd)  + (We×Ke)

           Kd= aftre tax cost of debt= 12%× (1-0.4)= 7.2%

           Wd =Proportion of debt= 40%

           We = proportion of equity = 60%

            Ke= cost of equity.

let the cost of equity be "y"

WACC = 11.54

11.54 = (40%× 7.2%) + (60% × y)

0.1154  = 0.0288 + 0.6y

0.1154 - 0.0288 = 0.6y

y =(0.1154 - 0.0288)/0.6

y = 0.1443 × 100

y =14.43%

Cost of equity = 14.43%

To organize focus groups for an innovative German-style fast food restaurant, you could separate 3 groups, the first being ages 18 to 30, the second 30-45 and the third group 45 and above.

The screening criteria could be, sources of income, profession, sex, taste for food, hobbies, etc.
